Welcome to the Mirembe Words of Wisdom Website
We are delighted to welcome you to the Mirembe Words of Wisdom Website as we celebrate Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.
Thank you for your interest in our mission and for exploring the work we do. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and partners who have supported us over the past year, enabling us to achieve so much together.
At Mirembe Words of Wisdom, every contribution you make is directed entirely—100%—to benefit the children and communities we serve. Currently, we proudly support over 15,000 children in more than 40 schools across various regions of Uganda. This work is made possible by our dedicated volunteer staff of 15 members and the invaluable partnerships we share with schools and communities.
Your generosity fuels our efforts, and we assure you that all contributions go directly toward fulfilling the mission and vision of Mirembe Words of Wisdom.
Thank you for your trust and support.
With gratitude,

Mirembe Words of Wisdom Reading Program helps boost the literacy rate of students in the Central Region of Uganda by offering a mobile library that delivers books.
After carefully guided conversations with local communities, we reached a collective decision on basic ways to improve education outcomes for the region. Fostering a Reading culture was a pathway we chose. The task was to build collaboration and partnerships wit local primary schools as well as the families and communities they serve. Our initiatives include: Reading Program • Women’s Health & Wellness • Children’s Garden & Nutrition • General & Oral Hygiene • Community Building & Mental Wellness • Children’s Tree Planting Initiative

At the March School Meeting, students learned where some former reading materials of ours have traveled. A native Ugandan who has lived in the States for thirty years brought them to the central part of the country, near Mityana. She set up a mobile check out system and students from twelve schools are enjoying them immensely.
