Leadership & Character Building
Leadership/Character Building Program
In the process of learning together and in consultation of building a communityof practitioners at each school level, beginning with the significance of basic classroom community, we realized the primacy of the classroom being the foundation through which character building and leadership skills are fermented.
We further valued the role of the individual student and each of their peers, led by their classroom teachers as a metrics of possibilities that will yield indefinite ends on the capacity for leadership, and character building. Hence we encouraged and implemented a practice that in each of the current schools and their classrooms, the peers select a leader, whom they name every month.
The guiding principles of such selections are motivated along the following lines: Is the peer good at studies/academics; social relationship skills; cleanliness; exemplary character; respectful to peers and elders and structure and committed to always be ready and able to self correct.
