General & Oral Hygiene

Many families are unaware of the importance of oral hygiene, and many who are lack the funds to be able to afford toothbrushes or toothpaste. When the librarians distribute the books, they discuss the importance of hygiene with the parents and children and suggest more accessible means of oral hygiene such as using ash or a string. They encourage families to spend the money on toothbrushes, and when donations are made of toothbrushes, the librarians bring around what stock they have to families in need.
